He received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the song “Letter to the Free” for the Netflix documentary 13th (2017) directed by Ava DuVernay. He made his Broadway debut acting in the play Between Riverside and Crazy (2023).

The pair seemingly confirmed their relationship in a preview of Monday’s episode of Hudson’s hit Fox talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show.

Dating rumors have been circulating for some time about the ‘Be’ rapper and Hudson, ever since they were spotted together in Philadelphia and their hometown of Chicago in February 2022.

Neither has chosen to publicly confirm speculation about their love life, but nearly two years later, it appears any doubts can be put firmly to bed.

The 42-year-old appeared on Monday’s episode of ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ and the heat turned up when they began discussing love and relationships. Common And Jennifer Hudson both like each other.

Common made an appearance on Today with Hoda and Jenna on Monday to promote his new book, And Then We Rise: A Guide to Loving and Taking Care of Yourself. The rapper and actor was asked by the show’s host if he is the marrying type.

The latest is a pre-recorded clip from the singer’s talk show, “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” which features the Grammy-winning singer asking the rapper if he has a girlfriend in an episode that airs on Channel 29 – WTXF / FOX at noon on Monday, Jan. 22. “Yes, and I’m in a relationship that is [with] one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life. She’s smart. She loves God. She has something real down to earth about her. She’s talented,” Common replied.  “I set my standard kinda high because she had to have an EGOT. She had to win an Oscar on her first movie,” he continued. “She had to get her own talk show.”

In the time since, they’ve showered each other with praise, withg Hudson called Common a “beautiful man” in an August interview with TMZ.

More recently, the couple was even spotted courtside in Los Angeles earlier this month.
